While the future of education is still unclear on all fronts for this 2020 school year families of means are already opting out. Wealthy families are going hybrid by podding up within their neighborhoods and sharing home school resources, robust curriculum via diversity consultants such as myself, and budget. While also taking full advantage of whatever other services public or private schools may offer. Even with this unparalleled level of uncertainty we know exactly who will pay the steepest price in the long run. We've seen this movie before.
As a Black male educator and a public servant with both private and public school expertise I knew in March I would have to offer up my time and service to our community first and foremost. I also knew I would also have to make a living in a pandemic where absurd is the new normal. In light of all these facts I’ve begun to open up my network, mentoring, and consultation services so that we can figure out a steady way forward with best practices, authentic diversity, and equity.
If you or someone you know has a student in need of a BIPOC mentor or tutor or if your organization / institution needs access to a vetted network of young Black educators, coaches, and consultants email me ASAP at firstname.lastname@example.org or hit the dialogue box below.
